#107 Hitmonchan (Jackie Chan Tribute) Poke'drawl
It was natural for me to do this tribute to Jackie Chan after my Bruce Lee tribute. Jackie Chan was a little harder since he did not have much of an iconic look that Bruce Lee did. But when I think of Jackie I think of the glorious head of hair flailing all over as he in punching fools in the face. The rest of his attire is inspired from his Drunken Master movie. Enjoy!

#106 Hitmonlee (Bruce Lee Tribute) Poke'Drawl
I am the kind of person that tends to believe things happen for a reason. This Poke'drawl is a prime example of it. One day I decided to watch a couple of Bruce Lee YouTube videos just to get my self amped up for the day. The video was of him playing ping-pong with his nunchaku. I am sure you have all seen it and obviously it is amazing. But right after I watched that video I decided to do another Poke'drawl. I headed over to the random Pokemon generator and like a glorious message from the sketchbook heavens, Hitmonlee popped up. It was a sign. Hitmon-bruce-Lee had to be drawn.

#122 Mr.Mime - Poke'Drawl
Not too much I can say about this Pokemon. Mr.Mime is the one Pokemon that I never caught in game. Even though he was not a Pokemon that interested me when I was younger he was still fun to draw!

#064 Kadabra - Poke'drawl
When I was a kid I used to get really bad migraines almost every week. When I started play Red version I saw the Pokedex entry for this Pokemon which said, "It emits special alpha waves from its body that induce headaches just by being close by." So when ever I would get headache I would grab my toy Pokeball and run around the house trying to find and catch him.

#105 Marowak - Poke'drawl
Here is Marowak! Ground type Pokemon were always my favorite and Marowak was always one of go-to Pokemon. What Pokemon type is your favorite?

League of Legends - Viktor
Viktor is one of my favorite mid-lane champs. The "glass cannon" play style is very exciting and challenging. He is one of my favorite champs to play and I had fun with this. If you play Viktor and enjoy it let me know!

Here is a Spongebob that is "Armpitlazered" out. I drew this up for younger sisters 21st birfday. Happy BIRFDAY SIS!

League of Legends - Rengar!
Here is the next champion I decided to sketch up, Rengar! Although I suck with him I still think he is one of the best champs out there. Really fun to jungle with. Enjoy!

League of Legends - ADC Ezreal!
I have been meaning to do a Ezreal in my style for a while now. I am usually doodling while waiting for the Q in LoL. One match I was playing Ezreal against another Ezreal so while I was waiting for everyone to load up I doodled this Ezreal. I always love playing the super squishy chanpion. He has fun poking abilities and a powerful combo that when done right can dampen any lane (unless it is Singed -_-). Anyways, this was a fun sketch and I plan on doing plenty more League of Legends characters down the line when I have some free time! Take care and if you play League feel free to hit me up at - Armpitlazers.

Sketch Page 4/16/13
Here are some quick sketches. It has been a while and I apologize! Feeling a bit rusty and ashamed that I haven't made time for my personal work recently.

Sustainable toys - Planet Obos
I stumbled upon Obos looking through the most recent Toy Fair blogs and I have to say, they are awesome. I am a big fan of the vinyl toy market and simplistic style and Obos would fit in perfectly. They are paper toys with interchangeability features. The simplistically clever packaging is a catalyst to the toy experience. Just pull a tab on the underside and begin to unfold the joy. As you remove the packaging in one simple pull, the figure opens up and reveals its components. The figures come with a variety of limbs and extremities that snap onto the core of the character. You can collect more of the Obos and use each others parts to mix and match to create your very own unique Obos!
Among the eclectic and bright characters there is one other reason why this product stands out to me. That is the sustainability. The Obos are made from FSC certified paper and recycled paper along with being 100% recyclable. The simplistic and minimal packaging lessens its footprint on the world. As a toy designer I have always appreciated products that achieve simplistic and environmentally effective means. It is not easy designing products with those things in mind. There are constant obstacles and limitations with sustainable materials. Like most things, limitations are constantly pushed everyday. I feel that the more businesses try and force sustainability into their design and production processes, the evolution of recyclable and environmentally friendly materials can provided just as many options as the current more popular materials used today. So check out Planet Obos and appreciate the genius behind this simple paper toy.

Sketches - 3/12/13
I haven't sketches like this in a while. Just let my hand go free and doodle. No concept, no motives. Just evolving shapes the form into the thing in my head. Good fun and very therapeutic! Enjoy :)

#025 Pikachu - Poke'drawl
I was pretty excited to have Pikachu pop-up from the random generator. I was expecting my friends to get it before me but I am very glad it fell onto me! Who doesn't love Pikachu? For me drawing Pikachu in my style makes it even more lovable because it is such a over-saturated Pokemon. Pikachu is pretty much the mascot of Pokemon and redesigning it is refreshing. I had tons of fun with this one! I wanted them to show that they were "too good" to be put in a Pokeball.
#080 Slowbro - Poke'drawl
Slowbro is a pretty awesome Pokemon. Well, he is really 2 Pokemon in one! Shellder (I think it is) on his tail is what makes a Slowpoke evolve into Slowbro. If the Shellder is removed then he "de-evolutionizes" back to Slowpoke. This is a pretty cool symbiosis but with my Slowbro he gets sick of dealing with it and would rather be a Slowpoke than to deal with parasitic Pokemon.
Cool story Slowbro?

Lunch Sketches - 2/26/13
Here are some doodles I did at lunch today. Need to get back to sketching the weird things swimming around in my mind! Been focusing too much on what others want to see when I should be sketching what I want to see!
#059 Arcanine - Poke'drawl
I never had this Pokemon in the game when I was growing up. Not too sure why because Arcanine is pretty badass. I had fun with this guy. I drew him with pencil (unlike the rest of my Poke'drawl entries where I sketched them in photoshop) which is why I think this was the most fun one for me out of the Poke'drawl series. I got too caught up in doing everything digital (even the prelim sketching). I need to keep it old school for the first half of things from now on!

#067 Machoke - Poke'drawl
Machoke was always one of those Pokemon when they popped up you were like, "Oh shit." When I was a child it's presence was epic! I felt like a complete bad-ass when I sent him out to punch Pikachus in the face. Machoke is still one of my favorite Pokemon to date and I would like the thank the gods of fate for randomizing this guy into my life!

#060 Poliwag - Poke'Drawl
Poliwag was one of my favorite Pokemon back when I played Blue/Red with my younger sister. I remember trying to race with her to see who could get him first. I am not sure what was so appealing about this Pokemon but we really enjoyed it. I ever remember my sister pretending she was one when we used to play Pokemon in the pool like losers.
#181 Ampharos - Poke'Drawl
When I was assigned this electric Pokemon, I got excited. The proportions of this creature allowed for some fun proportional changes that were a blast to sketch out. I am still trying to figure out the shading on this guy so you might see an update later down the line. But for now I am happy with it!

#044 Zubat - Poke'drawl
All I can remember about Zubat when I used to play Pokemon was that annoying noise he made when he showed up. Being lost in the caves was the worst because I would always get constantly attacked by this guy. That screech noise is forever lodged in my brain. I can still here it... *cringe*

#055 Golduck - Poke'Drawl
Today's random Pokemon was Golduck! Had a fun and challenging time with this guy. Just like I remember when I would run into them in the wild as a kid!
#127 Pincir - Poke'Drawl
Me and my friends decided to make a blog that basically is a stylized Pokedex. We are going to choose Pokemon from a Pokemon generator and drawl them in our own styles. I got #127 Pincir for my first one and I have to say this is going to be a fun project. You can find this blog at: POKE'DRAWL enjoy!

EXTREME(ER)!
I liked the first batch of Extreme Dinosaurs I did, so I figured I should finish the rest of them. So here is Spike and Stegz!

EXTREME!
These two guys were a big part of my childhood. Two of my favorite toys: Bullseye and T-Bone from Extreme Dinosaurs. The toy line didn't do so well, but they will always sell out in my heart! Time to go splurge my nostalgia on eBay.

A new beginning
Hopefully I can keep this updated instead of using instagram for all my artwork. This sketch is a concept of a Battlenaut Brawler - The front line scrapper.
